Symphony: Collaborative Autonomy

Symphony is a H-STEM Enterprise team working on developing a lower-body exoskeleton to support independent, active movement in the elderly by reducing muscle fatigue and improving stability. The team's primary objective is to develop the device and software such that it minimizes interference with the user's autonomy; reducing restrictiveness and cognitive burden. This will be accomplished by delivering an assistive force through a lightweight, compliant exoskeleton in sync with the user and matching their need, as determined with inertial and myoelectric sensors.
